In the heat of downtown Phoenix, lifetime friends and founding members Lady Van Buren (vox/guitar) and Cherrybomb (drums) decided that it was time to put a stop to The Green Lady’s evil antics.
Armed with Lady Van Buren’s beautifully haunting vocals, combined with addictive guitar riffs, in your face lyrics, and pounding beats, The Green Lady Killers decided it was time to pick up some boys. D.F. Jimenez (guitar) and Louis Lashes (bass/vox) fit the bill.
Inspired by bands such as The Cramps, The Runaways, The Pixies, and The Ramones, “The Green Lady Killers play lo-fi garage rock that gives nods to American pre-punk of the 1970s”(Jonathan Bond, AZ Nightbuzz).
The Green Lady Killers have performed on Van’s Warped Tour, and in Las Vegas, New Mexico and all over Arizona, including Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Their highly anticipated debut EP is due to be released summer 2007, and was recorded and produced at StudioCat Productions with Jamison Weddle.
